With all the focus on gun crimes, fewer consider the rise of knife crimes. Yet 22 percent of the world’s homicides result from stabbing.

Now, we’re seeing knife crimes make major headlines around the world, the most heinous of which is the stabbing spree in Saskatchewan Canada. The stabbing rampage killed 10 people and left 18 wounded in and around a Canadian Indigenous reserve. The incident kicked off a three-day manhunt.
